Find fonts that elevate your work in 2025

Hey designer, here are a few of the processes and providers I use when searching out cool and unique typefaces.

Bold, creative type is a thing at the moment and I recently discovered Brandon Nickerson Studio who cleverly gives away really cool contemporary FREE fonts every week or so, with a prompt direct to your inbox. You have to hunt them down on his site which means you have a good gander at his affordable and creative range.

Fonts in Use is excellent for seeing classic and contemporary fonts in action on real-life projects - super inspiring and helpful with look and feel concepts. These ones are typically on the spendy side, but it's clear why.

For more experimental fonts try Future Fonts - these can also be quite affordable and are all 'under construction' by font designers. If you want to steer clear of overused fonts, this is the place for you.
